    Finding the right treatment
    for each sleep disorder

    Interrupted Sleep

If you snore and find yourself tired during the day, you are likely waking for a few seconds hundreds of times every night due to sleep apnoea without knowing. Everyone has some level of interrupted sleep and it is completely normal to wake up 5 times per hour without realising. If you wake more than 15 times per hour, it is likely this is affecting your daytime performance and/or long-term health.

    Sleep Report

Following a home based sleep study, we generate a sleep report that shows sleep patterns, sleep disturbances, breathing obstructions, movement, and oxygen levels throughout the night. A qualified sleep physician reviews the data to diagnose any sleep disorder and gives their clinical recommendations.

    Treatment

We can arrange or recommend different treatment options based on the results of an at home sleep study. You may choose to wait until the reporting specialist sleep and respiratory physician has seen your study and given their recommended treatment before you proceed. In other cases, the solution is clear and you may wish to start treatment as soon as the day after your home based sleep study.

    Healthy Active Life

A home sleep test can identify sleep apnoea or other sleep disorders, which are associated with various health problems and affect performance and mood during the day. Identifying and treating the underlying problem helps restore energy and vitality.

Sleep Apnoea Test at Home Australia

Sleep apnoea is a common chronic sleep disorder that affects 50% of men and 23% of women, according to the largest to-date sleep apnoea prevalence study (HypnoLaus Sleep Cohort study) in 2015. Sleep apnoea is caused by repeated upper-airway collapse during sleep which results in fragmented sleep, reductions in blood oxygen levels and a multitude of potential health issues. Diabetes, high blood pressure, strokes, heart attacks, atrial fibrillation, dementia, car accidents and depression can all result from untreated sleep apnoea. Age and a high BMI are both risk factors, but sleep apnoea can affect any demographic, even young, thin people, including children.

A home sleep study is the fastest and easiest way to determine accurately if you are suffering from sleep apnoea.
